About Hyperion Biosystems
Founded in 2013 as an MIT “Tough Tech” spinout, Hyperion Biosystems (formerly C2Sense, Inc.) has created a suite of diagnostic devices that leverage our expertise in computer vision and physics-based algorithms to deliver exquisite performance at the lowest price. Our exceptional team of scientists and engineers have years of experience collaborating with market leaders in diagnostics and pharmaceuticals with the goal of minimizing the impact of disease and protecting people.
Our Journey
Hyperion Biosystems’ progressive timeline of innovation includes:
2013
Started our journey using nanomaterials for chemiresistive gas sensing applications.
2020
Developed novel delayed emission materials and a groundbreaking algorithm for sensing and authentication applications using low cost CMOS cameras.
2022
Launched Halo – a low cost, fully connected reader system for rapid diagnostic assays that simultaneously boosts sensitivity and specificity by leveraging our suite of physics-based, AI-enhanced algorithms.
Halo receives RADx Award 1.
2023
Halo receives RADx Award 2.
2024
Began the development of Helios, a new diagnostics capability focused on enhanced detection of circulating tumor and cell-free DNA across a variety of use cases.
